Who am I?
I am Andrei Diaconu, the founder and owner of Armilla Watch Bands Ltd. Originally from a small town in Romania called Clinceni, I moved to England in the autumn of 2016 at the age of 21. My journey in England began with a backpack, £250 in my wallet and all kinds of odd jobs such as forklift driver, warehouse operative, cleaner and working night shifts at a supermarket until eventually becoming Hub Delivery Manager at a DIY store. Why the U.K.? Because I love the country, I love the culture and I consider it the right place for my two passions: entrepreneurship and watches.
What do we offer?
Simply put, we offer high-quality nylon watch straps. From the type of nylon we use to its thickness and length, every aspect of our straps has been carefully considered and tested. Our straps are sporty, yet elegant while maintaining the extreme durability and performance of a military type watch band.
Where are we located?
Colchester, Essex. Britain's oldest recorded town.
What is our goal?
We are set on starting our own manufacturing in the United Kingdom using high-quality British nylon and special types of cotton and linen materials that are fully certified to ISO 9001:2008. We are also in the process of developing a new kind of clasp system for this type of straps. Our aim is to revolutionise the whole concept of a G10 NATO watch band.
